Senior producer for The Division collection Julian Gerighty has introduced his departure from Ubisoft, heading over to Battlefield Studios.
In a press release posted to social media, the official Huge Leisure account posted its fond farewells to Gerighty. It reads: “As we speak we wish to share that Julian Gerighty, govt producer on the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise is heading off on to a brand new journey at Battlefield Studios. Whereas we’ll miss him, his mark will stay on at Huge and we’ll proceed to convey the world he is been a part of creating to our gamers for years to come back.
“Julian, your legacy is a part of this studio and bear in mind: as soon as an Agent, at all times an Agent.”
This publish ends with a brief paragraph reassuring followers of The Division that the collection can be left in good palms now that Gerighty is leaving, concluding: “Our groups who constructed this world with Julian are nonetheless right here, carrying it ahead with formidable, unchanged dedication for the long run with The Division 2, The Division 2: Survivors, The Division Resurgence and The Division 3.”
Gerighty himself posted a private replace, stating: “It is time for me to hold up my go bag (conserving the watch) as I am going on one other grand journey. The Division future burns vivid, and I can not wait so that you can uncover what the groups have been engaged on. Lengthy stay The Division”
This information comes just a few months after Huge Leisure needed to curb rumours that Gerighty was leaving the corporate, and only one week after he took half in an interview through the New Sport + showcase. Throughout this interview he described The Division 3 as “a monster”, and shared his perception it will have: “as massive of an impression as The Division 1”.
Regardless of this peculiar timing, it does seem as if each Huge Leisure and Julian are leaving on good phrases. Which is good, we must always all be so fortunate.
