Two Former College Football Players Dead After Running Half Marathon



School Soccer’s 10 Most Intimidating Stadiums (1:16)

Because the calendar begins to show and the hotter months arrive, we’re getting extra outside health occasions, like marathons and half-marathons.

Two notable half-marathons happened over the weekend, with one going down in Brooklyn, New York and one other going down in Texas. 1000’s of individuals participated within the half marathons, that are 13.1 miles lengthy.

Tragically, two former school soccer gamers have died because of their participation within the half marathons.

Former school soccer participant Charles “Ace” Rogers competed within the Brooklyn Half Marathon on Saturday. He reportedly collapsed at Mile 8. Rogers suffered cardiac arrest and was unable to be saved, regardless of being rushed to the hospital.

He was simply 31 years outdated.

Rogers had performed at Lindenwood and Minnesota.

“The Lindenwood Soccer household mourns the lack of Ace Rogers. Our ideas & prayers exit to his spouse Sydney, his mother and father Teresa Jordan & Charles Rogers, and the remainder of his household,” the college introduced.

Tragically, Rogers just isn’t the one one who misplaced his life in a half marathon over the weekend.

Brian Williams, 24, took half in a half marathon in Irving, Texas over the weekend. He reportedly suffered a warmth stroke and died.

The previous school soccer participant performed collegiately at Texas A&M College.
