Wanliss vs. Siraj moves to OKTAGON 56 in Birmingham after backstage altercation


Probably the most intriguing matchups within the €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger light-weight match opening spherical is heading to Birmingham!

Akonne Wanliss (7-2, 1NC), the one UK consultant within the 2024 European MMA Champions League, will settle the rating with Swedish knockout artist, Sahil Siraj (9-2), at OKTAGON 56 inside Resorts World Enviornment on April 20.

The proficient pair had been initially scheduled to combat this previous weekend in Ostrava, Czech Republic, however Wanliss was attacked backstage by two members of Siraj’s crew following the OKTAGON TIME press convention. This meant that the bout couldn’t proceed as deliberate with each athletes feeling extraordinarily upset resulting from placing in a complete camp of preparation and finishing arduous weight cuts.

Because of this, each of Siraj’s crew members have been given lifetime bans from OKTAGON MMA as these incidents aren’t tolerated.
