LOS ANGELES — Terence Crawford is searching for extra. Possibly that is the precursor for what’s forward and “Bud’s aimed future conflict with Canelo Alvarez.

For now, this Saturday, the previous two-division undisputed world champion (140 and 147) and three-time division titlist (135, 140 and 147) is a title in a fourth weight class, when he faces WBA junior middleweight titlist Israil Madrimov at BMO Stadium, in Los Angeles, California.

The struggle, plus undercard bouts, will likely be broadcast on ESPN+ PPV, 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT. And DAZN at 4:30 p.m. ET/ 1:30 p.m. PT.

Rated No. 3 in The Ring’s pound-for-pound rankings, the 36-year-old Crawford (40-0, 31 knockouts) is a heavy favourite over the 29-year-old Madrimov, The Ring’s No. 3 junior middleweight.

On the official weigh-in on Friday morning, Madrimov got here in at 154 on the nostril, and Crawford got here in at 153.4 kilos.

What’s intriguing about is how stacked this struggle card is.

The co-feature marks the return of former heavyweight titlist Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2, 22 KOs) coming off a 23-month layoff to face one other heavyweight searching for redemption in Jarrell “Large Child” Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs).
