The Cardinals (2-4, 1-2 MAC) will tackle Vanderbilt (4-2, 2-1 SEC) on Saturday. The Commodores are having fun with a renaissance season in coach Clark Lea’s fourth yr on the helm, highlighted by a surprising upset victory over then-No. 1 Alabama two weeks in the past.
Ball State simply snapped a four-game shedding skid and clinched its first convention win with a 37-35 win at Kent State final weekend. The Cardinals have struggled in nonconference highway video games this season, although, shedding 62-0 at Miami (FL) on Sep. 14 and 63-7 at James Madison on Sep. 28.
