The Jets have had three OTA practices this spring that had been open to the media. Meaning it’s time for some early observations.
Now, let me warning you about how I really feel about OTAs. There’s not a lot to see in these periods that may have any bearing on wins and losses within the fall. It’s extra about seeing the brand new gamers and coaches for the primary time and getting a really feel for what the crew’s depth is.
Evaluating gamers is foolish right now of 12 months. Former Jets coach Todd Bowles used to love to say, “They’re in shorts,” when requested about how gamers appeared within the spring, which means everybody seems to be good in shorts. It doesn’t all the time translate when the pads come on.
