A close to 10 acre hearth led to the closure of east and west certain I-70 in Eagle County, Colorado, on Wednesday and evacuation orders had been issued for the adjoining space. The Purple Canyon Hearth burned about 4 miles west of Wolcott proper alongside the interstate.
