WWE Announces SmackDown Officially Returns To 3 Hours In 2026

The rumors have been true, and WWE SmackDown will likely be shifting again to a three-hour format starting subsequent yr.

The information was formally introduced throughout Friday’s episode of the present. On the broadcast desk, Michael Cole and Corey Graves confirmed that the present will likely be shifting again to 3 hours in 2026. The primary three-hour episode of the present will likely be on January 2, 2026, when WWE SmackDown is in Buffalo, New York.

Rumors on the transfer have been circulating for a number of weeks now, however now the information is official. Whereas SmackDown had historically been a two-hour present, the present has experimented with longer codecs. Earlier this yr, the corporate shifted to a three-hour format for the present for the primary half of 2025.

In July, the present returned to a two-hour format, but it surely looks like WWE is able to develop the present for good now.
