Wales’ Mimi Xu reached the quarter-finals of the Wrexham Open with a straight-set win over Lithuania’s Andre Lukosiute.
Xu gained her opening service sport, and though a strong show from Lukosiute noticed her reel off 5 video games in a row to take management, a battling Xu claimed the following six to take the set 7-5.
The 18-year-old from Swansea conceded one other early break within the second set however fought again to take it 7-5 and guide her spot within the subsequent spherical.
Xu might be in doubles motion alongside fellow Brit Ella McDonald on Thursday afternoon once they tackle third seeds Naima Karamoko and Jessika Ponchet within the quarter-finals.
