World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz and No. 4 Novak Djokovic have each pulled out of the Madrid Open due to lingering accidents.

Alcaraz, the seven-time Grand Slam winner, will miss out on the match within the Spanish capital with a wrist damage after additionally having skipped the Barcelona Open this week.

Djokovic hasn’t competed for the reason that BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. He missed the Miami Open due to a proper shoulder damage and skipped the Monte Carlo Masters.
