Ischgl Announces 3 New 8 Seat Chairlifts


The Silvretta Area ski area which straddles the Austrian/Swiss border between Ischgl and Samnaun has introduced that it’s spending €50m on putting in three new 8 seater chairlifts forward of the following two winters.

All three would be the luxurious new Doppelmayr D-Line fashions with weatherproof hood and heated seats. All three chairlifts can even be geared up with Doppelmayr’s entry and exit monitoring system (AURO: Autonomous Ropeway Operation) that means they’ll function with out on-site employees.



Work is getting underway this summer season with two of the three new chairlifts (Hollboden C1 and Sassgallun C3) set to be prepared for subsequent winter 25-26, the third (Hollkar C2) the winter after (26/27).

The three are upgrades to current lifts which between them have transported  over 83 million folks over time. There shall be some route changes nevertheless, significantly with a brand new location for the Höllbodenbahn mountain station.

It is going to be constructed roughly 500 metres east of Idalp at a brand new location between slopes 10 and 11, simply above Idalp. The brand new route will considerably enhance the crossing within the space of the Höllboden/Idalp mountain station, making it shorter while offering higher scenic views.

Among the energy that the lifts want shall be coated by a small energy plant for vitality era with 1,200 m2 of photovoltaic panels producing 274,5 kWp of electrical energy on the raise roofs.
