Medvedev given hefty fine after US Open meltdown


Former US Open champion Daniil Medvedev has been handed a considerable advantageous for his behaviour in a extraordinary first-round exit.

Medvedev, 29, was knocked out of the Grand Slam match after a meltdown sparked by a photographer strolling on to the court docket throughout his defeat by France’s Benjamin Bonzi.

After the incident on Sunday, Medvedev mentioned he was ready for a hefty punishment.
