Serena Williams' comeback at the Queen's Club is over after injury to doubles partner

Serena Williams’ much-hyped comeback to skilled tennis on the Queen’s Membership lasted only one match.

The 44-year-old Williams’ doubles associate, 19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko, was pressured to withdraw from the draw on Thursday (June 11, 2026) due to a knee harm she sustained in a singles match towards Karolina Pliskova within the final 32 on Wednesday.

In her first skilled match because the 2022 U.S. Open, Williams teamed up with Mboko to beat third-seeded duo Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe 7-6 (2), 6-2 on the grass-court occasion on Tuesday (June 9, 2026).
