VIDEO: Australian Paralympic Swimmers Speak To Media Ahead Of 2024 Paralympics


2024 SUMMER PARALYMPIC GAMES

Swimmers from the Australian Paralympic crew spoke to the media from their coaching camp in Chartres, France forward of heading to Paris for the 2024 Paralympic Video games, which begin on August twenty eighth.



Australia has a crew of 30 swimmers set to compete on the Paralympics. Nearly a 3rd of the crew is making their Paralympic debut at these Video games, together with Lewis Bishop, Chloe Osborn, and Holly Warn, who all spoke of their interviews about what making their first Paralympic crew and receiving their golden caps means to them.

They, together with swimmers Timothy Hodge, Fortunate Patterson, Ahmed Kelly, Poppy Wilson,  Jenna Jones, and Jesse Aungles shared their lineups and expectations for the meet, in addition to what they’re most trying ahead to in Paris.

Hodge, a three-time Paralympian searching for his first gold medal in Paris, is one in all two Australians to interrupt a world document this 12 months. At Australian Trials this 12 months, Hodge broke the lads’s 200 IM SM9 world document, swimming a 2:12.03. In April, Alexa Leary broke the ladies’s 100 freestyle S9 world document with a 59.64.

On the Tokyo Paralympics, Australia completed sixth within the medal desk with 8 gold, 10 silver, and 15 bronze medals.
