What we don’t like concerning the Hoka Gaviota 6
JUSTIN: For all of the options I take pleasure in concerning the shoe with stability, heel lock-down, and aesthetics, there’s one factor that I struggled with, and that’s the mid-foot. I put on a wide range of socks, and I discovered that if I wore a thinner sock, like one from Bandit, Stance, or Feetures, I needed to crank down the laces. If I didn’t, my foot bounced round in there just like the Chapstick in my dryer. I put on a US M13 and have a considerably slim foot, so this has been a difficulty with different shoe fashions up to now. However I really feel that, with the broader base offered by the H-Body, the higher wasn’t capable of sustain.
In researching the Ghillie lacing system, it looks as if this was Hoka’s try to handle the mid-foot lockdown difficulty. Wanting again at earlier opinions, this appears to be the frequent difficulty the Gaviota has. That being mentioned, that is actually the one grievance, and it’s not a deal breaker, as a result of if I tighten the laces extra, they’re wonderful, and nonetheless don’t dig into my foot. The one different factor that upsets me is that Hoka didn’t use the road “Fly Like a G6” of their advertising launch… Actually missed the boat on that one.
